Conger mentions in the article "Is television harmful for children" that television causes obesity and slow language development. Television is like junk food. Under 7 years old, children dont know the content of advertising. This shows how much children shouldnt be watching television so young.

Dotree, Phil. "Is Technology Making Us Lazy?" Freelance Writing - Internet Article Marketing - Publish Articles Online - EduBook. 16 Dec. 2009. Web. 09 Apr. 2011. <http://www.edubook.com/is-technology-making-us-lazy/23428/>.
Dotree is mentioning in his article "Is technology making us lazy?" that every year theres more advance technology. Technology is getting cheaper and cheaper. It makes it was easier to find things that we want instead of searching through so much. Dotree mentions technology is change and change is scary but its also a progress.

Cyber bullying

Katz, Leslie. "When 'digital Bullying' Goes Too Far - CNET News." Technology News - CNET News. 22 June 2005. Web. 09 Apr. 2011. <http://news.cnet.com/When-digital-bullying-goes-too-far/2100-1025_3-5756297.html?tag=txt>.
Katz topic in "digital Bullying" is how much kids are getting cyber-bullied.Katz article is trying to tell teens how much cyber bullying is increasing and ruining kids lives. Teens are too afriad to say it someones face so its easier just telling the other person online then the next day act like they didnt even say anything. Some kids has even stopped IMing because of them getting bullied.

When digital kids rule the classroom

Olsen, Stefanie. "When Digital Kids Rule the Classroom - CNET News." Technology News - CNET News. 26 Apr. 2006. Web. 09 Apr. 2011. http://news.cnet.com/2009-1041_3-6065108.html.

Who would have ever thought that students would have to teach teachers how to use a computer. Students younger and younger know how to use techonology. Stefanie Olsen wrote an article "when digital kids rule the classroom" and was talking about how these students even made a video to teach teachers what to do. It started out with an 8th grader and then younger kids starting helping out.

Katrina's blog

Technology: Cellphone Law Past On All Military Bases.: "Sgt. Sara Wood. 2006, January 6th. DoD to Restrict Cellphone Use On Military Bases. American Forces Press Service. Retrieved 2011, April 7th..." This is very good and accurate information you wrote about except the fact is, even though its a law, no ones listening to it. I still see people everyday texting and driving and swirving off the road. It does look like their drunk driving. At night when i see someone swirving i always assue their drunk then go next to them and see a light. It's horrible how many teens arent listening.

Technology getting out of control

This video shows how much technology is taking over kids lives. Texting is taking over and it’s becoming more dangerous. Alot of teens are now texting while driving and its causing more deaths than ever. When there was no such thing as texting, there were only a lot of car accidents with drunk driving but now with both in the equation more and more deaths are happening. There’s even laws being put down for no texting and driving. Texting has got out of hand.

Is texting helping us in English Classes?

Students tell us in the video that instant messaging is actually helping to take better notes and also to help with memorization. Their typing is becoming faster due to texting so much. The students do admit they are getting lazier because of it. The teacher also mentions that all the papers in that class are typed so the spell check helps them with punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. A lot of kids still haven’t learned a lot from classes due to spell check.

Is facebooking really affecting college acceptance?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaBkmMFr1ok
Today, everybody has a face book or MySpace. Colleges finally started getting smart and looked at profiles. 23% of colleges in America deny students to their college due to inappropriate statuses. Once it’s on the internet, there’s no turning back. One post can ruin your college career or your job. Watch what you say.

The machine is Us/ing Us

In this video " The Machine is Us/ing us" by Michael Wesch, it's telling us how the world went from writing on paper to digital to texting to know talking to eachother in 2 seconds from people across the country. How is all the information getting organized on the web? How did this all start? Everything happened so fast. People who know nothing about computers can almost do anything easily on the web. It doesnt take much anymore. You use to have to know all these codes which now its just a click away.

Google vs Intelligence

A student was suppose to read a book for 3 weeks now and a summary is due today. The student hasnt even read a page. What does he/she do? They google summaries for that book and it'll make a paper right then and there. Instead of it taking 3 weeks to get all the information to summarize a book, it takes 3.5 seconds to get all the answers. Nicholas Carr's wrote, "Is Google Making us Stupid", said he doesnt even have to read books to get information. Just google and all the answers come up. It's making our brains slack off. When a book would actually be in front of us and we HAD to read it, our brains wouldnt know how to take it in.

Small change: Why the revolution will not be tweeted.

Alot of people would agree to Malcom Gladwell's story "Small Change: why the Revolution will not be Tweeted". If you have a facebook, you'll get notifications to join for example the act on a specific date to not pump gas, or to have war with the government due to the shut down.Instead of a riot going from one state at a time, today its going to few states at once. Technology gave us the power for it to be easier to make a riot. The government probably doesnt like this since most of the riots are about them but it helps alot of americans out.

Where I Lived and What I Lived For

This world is getting lazier and lazier. Almost everyone use to grow their own food and make it. There were no Mcdonalds or any fast food places in the 1800s. Cars and technology is what has made today so lazy. Writer Henry David Thoreau, "Where I lived and What I Lived For", has pointed out what society has became to be. If we read one story about a robbery or murder, that's enough news for us Henry is saying. No one cares about disasters anymore. If we went back to what people did in the 1800's, maybe we would have a chance to normal again.

Television the Plug-in-Drug

The story "Television the Plug-in_drug" by Marie Winn is about what people from the past was guessing about the future with television. They thought that tv would bring families together and there would be several sets a house for television. But actually, today, there are 3-4 tv's in a house and tv brought a family further apart. Usually a kid does homework then watches television until an hour before bedtime. Parents today are so use to kids watching tv hours at a time. Television is indeed affecting children.
